Throwin' Down

Throwin' Down is a Rick James album from 1982. It was released on the Gordy Records imprint of Motown Records. Although not as popular as Street Songs, Throwin' Down saw another RIAA certified gold album from James. With appearances by The Temptations, Teena Marie and Jefferson Airplane/Starship lead vocalist Grace Slick, the record was nominated for an American Music Award for Favorite Soul/R&B Album.
