4Puerto Escondido International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional de Puerto Escondido) (IATA: PXM, ICAO: MMPS) is an airport located at Puerto Escondido in the state of Oaxaca in Mexico. It handles national and international air traffic for the city of Puerto Escondido on the Pacific coast. It is operated by Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares, a federal government-owned corporation.
One of the fastest growing airports in the country due to Puerto Escondido's popularity as a tourist destination, it handled 302,478 passengers in 2018, and 407,651 passengers in 2019.[1]
Facilities
The airport resides at an elevation of 294 feet (90 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 09/27 with an asphalt surface measuring 2,300 by 45 metres (7,546 ft × 148 ft).
