Parascorpaena is a genus of scorpionfishes native to the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean.

Species

There are currently six recognized species in this genus:[1]

  • Parascorpaena aurita (Rüppell, 1838) (Golden scorpionfish)
  • Parascorpaena bandanensis (Bleeker, 1851)
  • Parascorpaena maculipinnis J. L. B. Smith, 1957
  • Parascorpaena mcadamsi (Fowler, 1938) (McAdam's scorpionfish)
