Passenger statistics from the Office of Rail and Road

Newstead railway station serves the village of Newstead in Nottinghamshire, England.

Newstead was the original terminus of the Robin Hood Line when it was reopened in 1993 by British Rail under the Regional Railways sector. The line has since been extended to Mansfield and Worksop. A former station Annesley railway station just to the north did not reopen.

Newstead Abbey, the ancestral home of Lord Byron is about two to three miles away and is served by this station.

Services

From Monday through to Saturday there is normally an hourly service in both directions to Worksop and Nottingham (with extra calls at weekday peak times). On Sundays, the service runs roughly every 2 hours and all northbound trains terminate at Mansfield Woodhouse.[1]

There is also one daily service on Mondays to Fridays from Mansfield Woodhouse extended through to Peterborough to Norwich, however there is no return working.
