Mohammad Bandar Al-Shalhoub (Arabic: محمد بندر الشلهوب‎; born 8 December 1980) is a retired Saudi Arabian football player who played as a Left-winger for Al Hilal in the Saudi Professional League. He is considered to be one of the greatest Saudi footballers in his generation and one of Saudi Arabia's football legends. He won 33 competitions with Al Hilal and one trophy with the Saudi Arabia national team, making him one of the most decorated football players in the world.

On 30 November 2006, Al-Shalhoub was selected the third Asian footballer of the year, after Khalfan Ibrahim from Qatar who was selected as the best footballer in Asia and Bader Al-Mutawa from Kuwait.

Club career

Al-Shalhoub started his professional career with Al Hilal in 1998. On 11 September 2020, he announced his retirement from football, having won 33 trophies with Hilal.[1]

International career

He has been a member of the Saudi Arabian national team since 2000 when he was just twenty years old, and made his debut on 17 October 2000 against Qatar in the 2000 AFC Asian Cup.[2] Al-Shalhoub was called up for the squad to participate in the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
