Ken Forbus

[1]Ken Forbus is Walter P. Murphy Professor of Computer Science and Professor of Education at Northwestern University.[1] He has a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from MIT, as well as an S.M. Computer Science and S.B. Computer Science, both also from MIT.[2] He is notable for his work in qualitative process theory, automated sketch understanding and on automated analogical reasoning. He developed the structure mapping engine based on the structure-mapping theory of Dedre Gentner. He is a Fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and the Cognitive Science Society.[3][4]

He was the chair (president) of the AAAI in August, 2011.
