Turning Point is a registered charity which was founded in 1986 to assist the bereaved and ill in Ireland. It was one of the first organisations in Ireland to offer "humanistic and integrative counselling and psychotherapy services". Turning Point continues to offer these services and is a registered charity (No. 7975).

Turning Point Institute (TPI) is located in Herbert Street Dublin 2. Turning Point Institute, established in 2001, offers a part-time MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy validated and awarded by University College Cork. The MSc is run at the institute's Herbert Street Dublin 2 base. Other courses provided by TPI include a part-time Foundation Course in Counselling Psychotherapy and a range of Continuing Professional Development Programmes.
