The stripe-breasted starthroat (Heliomaster squamosus) is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae.
It is found only in regions of eastern and southeastern Brazil. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and heavily degraded former forest.
