"Sound of Free" is a song written by Dennis Wilson and Mike Love released on December 4, 1970 in Europe, not the United States, with Daryl Dragon as a single under the name "Dennis Wilson & Rumbo". The B-side of the single was "Lady". The song features Dennis Wilson on lead vocals and also features Daryl Dragon on instrumental backing.

Release history

Both songs remained out of print for decades, with "Lady" (under the alternate title "Fallin' in Love") seeing release as a stereo remix in 2009 on The Beach Boys' Summer Love Songs compilation. The original mono single mix of "Sound of Free" was officially released on CD for the first time on The Beach Boys' 2013 box set Made in California.
