Extra Point

Extra Point (referred to as Xtra Point) is a twice-daily, two-minute segment on ESPN Radio that covered generic sports-related topical news and opinion. On the segments, a clip of a big talking point from an ESPN Radio show is played on a sports talking point or piece of sports news On the segments, ESPN personalities provided editorial comments on the sports news stories of the day. In the mornings, clips from The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz or The Will Cain Show are used. In the afternoons, clips are taken from Golic and Wingo.

As of 2005, it was heard on over 472 affiliates across the United States and Canada.

Extra Point was cancelled by ESPN Radio due to budgetary reasons. The last old variation of the ESPN Radio Extra Point segment aired on December, 10, 2010.
