Avey Tare & Kría Brekkan were a musical duo consisting of singer-songwriters Dave Portner of Animal Collective and Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttir, formerly of múm. The two started playing music together in the summer of 2005.[1] The two were married from 2006 to 2008 and are currently separated.[2]
