This is a table of the ranks and insignia of the Mexican Army. Spanish language ranks are in italics, with English translations. Rank and insignia of the Mexican Air Force are identical, with the exception of two general ranks.

Gold: generals
Light brown: general staff; Presidential Guards Corps, Presidential High Command
Scarlet: infantry
Burgundy: artillery
Red-brown: Quartermaster Command ("Materiales de Guerra")
Light orange-brown: transportation
Green: Judicial Corps(Justicia); military police
Blue: engineers; signals and communications (transmisiones)
Light blue: cavalry
Light gray-blue: cartography
Purple: army aviation; Parachutist Fusiliers (includes air force)
Gray: military bands and drummers and buglers
Light gray: armour
Very light gray: intelligence
Brownish gray: service corps (administracion e intendencia)
Yellow: medical; veterinary service
