  • The Walloons, inhabitants of Wallonia, a geographic term of a part of Belgium based on an identity concept; see for instance the Walloons' Song.
  • The Walloons, inhabitants (often called Wallonians when seen as citizens) of the Walloon Region (often called Wallonia), a region of the federal state of Belgium.

    – or to the Walloon Region, for instance the Walloon Parliament and the province named Walloon Brabant;
      (The distinction is not always clearly made, see for instance the Walloon Rally, a "Walloon" political party active from 1968 to 1985.)
    – or, now most rarely and only within that context, to Wallonia, a former administrative region created on 21 March 1917 by a decree of Moritz von Bissing, General Governor of the occupation authorities of Belgium, within the framework of Flamenpolitik.
